What this ranking measures

We reviewed 72 candidate domains drawn from public AI rankings and our editorial tool coverage. This is the 50 highest-traffic eligible entries in that reviewed set, not an exhaustive ranking of every AI product. We focus on general assistants, creative tools, coding, research and productivity. General company websites, broad platforms whose AI-feature usage cannot be separated, adult-only services, duplicate domains and unavailable or mismatched reporting periods are outside this selection.

Every figure is a public Similarweb estimate for August 2026, covering worldwide desktop and mobile website traffic. Monthly change is the provider’s reported percentage change from July to August. Figures are rounded by the source; equal displayed totals are ordered alphabetically by domain. A higher position means more estimated visits in this selection, not better quality or a recommendation.

We measure only the domain shown in each source link below. Visits can include repeat visits, marketing pages and non-AI features. Mobile apps, desktop applications and API activity are not measured. Domain changes can substantially affect a trend: NotebookLM’s figure covers notebooklm.google.com only, not all NotebookLM domains or product use. We do not add overlapping domain totals or turn visits into active-user counts.

This is a dated editorial snapshot. We update the reporting month only after checking a new complete set. Unavailable monthly comparisons display a dash; no historical trend line is drawn from invented data. Tool descriptions are editorial summaries, not hands-on test results.
